Travel Guide To Milan

Cathedral

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

12oz cafe

La Rinascente department store

Around the time of my birthday I got the chance to go to Milan, Italy. I had been to Italy before but never to Milan. So to come back and be able to see new things was incredible!

All the main touristy things in Milan are pretty much next to one another which made the trip so easy and convenient to organize. Milan's cathedral is in the centre of all the attractions. To the right of the cathedral is a museum, but also a looking point of the cathedral, where people tend to take beautiful pictures from. To the left is Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which if you didn't know, is the worlds oldest shopping mall. And circling around the cathedral are loads of other stores and cafe's. My personal favourite café is 12oz. They had delicious snacks and great options, they have everything from super healthy foods to ridiculously sugary desserts. It' s a simple café but I think that's sometimes the best way to go about things.

A huge must on my list was to go to Lauduree (I go to it when ever I can). Lauduree was in a different street but still really close. It only takes 5 minutes if you walk. Random question: What's you're favourite macaroon? Do you guys even like macaroons? Well I personally love macaroons and my favourite flavour is salted caramel.

I also went to La Rinascente department store to do some shopping. If you go through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, it's really easy to find and only a 3 minute walk from the cathedral. The department store contains all the most luxurious, designers like my personal favourites Gucci (Gucci gang lol), Fendi, Valentino, Mui Mui, and a ton more.

After we were walking out of the department store we stumbled across Luini bakery, which was actually on our list of things to do. Luini is an incredible bakery that is quite famous and tends to always have big queues to get in. So if you're interested in going I would recommend to go before 11am (when the bakery opens) just to skip the long lines.

A big tip I have for people who are going to Italy for their first time is to check your bill when you're in a restaurant. They tend to charge for the service, which means that you shouldn't tip the waiters.

I hope this post was helpful for you guys!
