Como For A Day

One of the beautiful cities I got the chance to see while I was in Italy, was Como! It's such a stunning place with incredible views of the Como lake, cathedral, waterfront boardwalks, and some funicular railways.

Before I had visited Como I thought It was going to be a lot like Bellagio but I was completely wrong! The two cities not only look different but even the energy of the cities are different! Bellagio to me is more relaxing, while Como on the other hand is more busy, which I personal prefer! In cities like Como, I just feel like there's something happening in every corner, and it gets me excited! Anyways...

When we arrived to Como the first thing I noticed was the railways. There were trees around too, and since it was fall the leaves were beautiful shades of orange and red! The contrast between the scenic railways and amber leaves was just breath-taking.

We did a little bit of sight seeing around the cathedral, and got some really pretty pictures too! The cathedral is quite different to the one in Milan, for this cathedral in Como has almost a medieval kind of look to it, though it doesn't really show in the pictures. After getting some cool shots we sat down at a restaurant which was right in front of the cathedral called "Ristorante da Pietro."

After we started walking around again we stumbled across a gelato place called "Gelateria Al Bottegone", and decided to get some (even though it was freezing!) We ended our trip by walking at the waterfront boardwalks, admiring the beautiful lake.

I really enjoyed my small trip to Como, it was really nice to just roam around and not have to worry about missing something on my to do list for the day. I feel like I really got to spend my time actually looking at the place with my own eyes, rather than me looking through a camera lens like I usually do!

I hope you like my post today!
